Dr. Zhou’s Herbal Detox Program is unlike any other treatment program you have experienced. Throughout the program, the patient will receive holistic treatments for all of their physical and psychological ailments. However, what makes this program one of a kind is Dr. Zhou’s unique herbal formula, which takes the rehabilitation process a step further by actively targeting and resetting the regions of the brain and central nervous system that have been altered by drug use. In just one month, the patient will have completed the journey through all three stages of the Herbal Detox Program: Detoxification, Recovery, and Prevention of Relapse, and will be embarking on their new drug-free life.

The Herbal Detox Program begins in the Detoxification stage, which essentially is the “Get to Know You and Get You Clean” stage. During your first visit, Dr. Zhou will perform a an initial assessment and create a treatment plan. A foundational building block of the Herbal Detox Program is Dr. Zhou’s unique herbal formula. This handcrafted formula is unlike traditional detox medications, as it can travel directly across the blood-brain barrier, which allows for the medication to work faster, eliminate toxic buildup on the brain, and target specific regions of the brain. Since the formula will be detoxing all drugs and toxins from the patient’s body, they may begin to experience withdrawal symptoms and/or cravings. As a result, Dr. Zhou requires all patients to have daily office visits during this stage. These routine check-ins allow him to implement traditional Chinese medical treatments, like acupuncture and energy cleansing, which have been found to lessen the withdrawal symptoms, and, in some cases, remove all general discomfort and cravings.

Once all of the withdrawal symptoms have ceased and Dr. Zhou’s unique herbal formula has detoxified the body, the patient will enter the two-week Recovery stage. Now that the drugs are out of the patient’s system, Dr. Zhou will conduct a dual-diagnosis assessment, which assesses the patient’s overall physical and mental state. If the doctor finds that the patient is suffering from depression, anxiety, or any other mood disorder, he will adopt a treatment plan to ensure that it addresses all of the patient’s symptoms. After Dr. Zhou has outlined a revised plan, the patient will begin a new sequence of herbal medications aimed at ensuring that they leave the Herbal Detox Program with great overall health and without a dependency on any drugs.

As the patient enters the last phase of the Herbal Detox Program, they will begin the Prevention of Relapse stage, which is when the patient begins to gather the tools they will need to handle all of life’s obstacles. While the individual is finishing the final sequence of Dr. Zhou’s unique herbal formula, they will begin to implement some lifestyle changes as directed by Dr. Zhou. Since these targeted lifestyle changes are not meant to add stress or undue challenges to the patient’s life, Dr. Zhou will create an individualized prevention plan based on each patient’s needs. Some examples of lifestyle changes Dr. Zhou has prescribed to patients in the past are Tai Chi, yoga, meditation, psychotherapy, and dietary changes. These lifestyle changes coupled with the holistic treatments prepare the patient’s mind and body to be able to maintain their new drug-free and healthy life.
